Reville [sic] at 6 AM ordered to march at eight but did not get started untill [sic] half past twelve. The day was cloudy but it did not rain untill [sic] after we stopped at night and then not very hard. We passed a very large wagon train today. the marching was very hard on account of crossing small streams and then double-‐quicking to catch up. we marched about eight miles and camped about five PM in a pine woods. Lieut. Vanvoy stayed with us at night. The country is very poor here and mostly covered with pine woods.
