26th.
During the night the wind raised and it commenced raining continued to rain all day At ten AM had Battalion Inspection in after wrote to Mother and Miss HBM.
27th.
Wind very high all day cloudy but not much rain. I was detailed for to carry water had to carry it about ¾ of a milein afternoon we got our dress coats and I got one pair socks.
28th.
Was detailed for guard duty. Stood post No. 13 first relief. Saw 11 rebel prisoners marched through
29th.
Was relieved about 9 AM saw more rebel prisoners in afternoon got a letter from Mother with one dollar in it. Answered it and sent it with George Greer.
30th.
Battalion drill in afternoon got orders to march at five in the morning of 31st.
