Inspection at 9 AM was over to see the boys in the first-­‐brigade the 15th is brigaded in the first New Jersey Brigade Slocums division Franklin’s Corps Col. Tolbritz[sic] Acct Brigadier General. 6th.
General Inspection at 8 AM by acting Brigadier General Tolbrith [sic] and the Inspecting General.
7th.
Nothing new today.
8th.
Was detailed on guard duty on the second relief No. 11 had the diorhoea [sic]
9th.
Was relieved at eight o’clock AM went over to the first-­‐Brigade to see the boys saw John Slockblower.
10th.
Went out-­‐side camp lines to get a chicken for James McDougal who is sick in the hospital did not get back in time for drill was excused
11th.
Was not out to roll call this morning overslept myself. Battalion drill this afternoon I was excused.
