At dress parade very stringent orders regarding stragglers and disobeying orders
13th
Worked on the fort half a day in the afternoon went to the creek bathing. Washed my clothes. Sutler opened his tent.
14th.
Wrote four letters to the following: Miss HBM John Robinson and Samuel Sidman and Mother.
15th.
Court-­‐martial on Thet. Thatcher Co. G. for bringin liquor in the camp and causing disturbence [sic] thereby. Was sentenced to fourteen days close confinement on breat and water diet.
16th.
Was detailed for fatigue duty on the fort worked all day. James Crowell and Dickerson of Co. I. were ordered on the barrel for laying along the lines and getting the courtersign and going out of camp with it weather very dull and cloudy. Let Levi Vannotten[?] have my revolver on trial.
