Visitors from Newton: Job. B. Woodruff and Oakley B. Rellett. In afternoon Martin Ryerson made a speech about the allotment system. Signed the roll for Government bounty.
21st.
Signed more bounty rolls recruits Chancey Anderson and Dayton Anderson
22nd.
Was detailed for guard duty visitors from Newton Doctor Ryerson and Judge Hall in the night it rained very hard.
23rd.
Order this morning no drill on Saturday visitors from Newton Mr. Savercool and wife in afternoon very hard showers went to the river bathing.
24th.
Divine services in woods at 10 A.M. by the chaplain text Romans 1st Chapter 16 verse. Services at 4 PM and 7.30 PM. Visitors from Newton Benj. Anderson and others wrote to E.C. Lane sent the letter by doctor Ryerson. Co. I received a tub of butter from Newton sent by doctor Ryerson.

Was mustered in the United States service in afternoon.
