June 27th Monday
Started to the front about seven AM with two days late rations beans and dried apples. Also one day of bacon and one of pork. Got through about three oclock PM. While on the road back it clouded over and commenced raining but soon stopped. Did not rain enough to ____ the dust which is about six meters steep. _____ are coming in every day now. Russell _____ of our brigade came up today with two loads of goods. Got back to park about seven PM.
