5th Sunday
Arrived at Fortress Monroe
at half past five this
morning. Ran aground near
the wharf was until t en
oclock trying to get of f
but could not. Was then
taken on board the city
of hudson and started
up the river arrived at
city point at five P.M.
Coming up we passed the
Mail boat city point
at one oclock. after
we got to city point we
had to wait until six
olcock before the train
started for the front
arrived in camp at eight
oclock.
