14th Saturday
Showers in the morning but cleared off in the afternoon. The wagons that started to the front yesterday did not get back until this afternoon. Some of them did not get all the way to the front. The roads are so muddy. The teams was hooked up at half past eight. Stood until about two and then unhooked. A lof of veterans ____ returned today. Our Regt. only draws rations for 170 men now they drew for 500 before we left camp at Brandy station. Saw Marshall and James Smith. Mail at night. Received letter from Aunt May and Uncle Sam. Wrote to mother.
