16th Friday
Clear and very pleasant Started at Brigade last night. during the night some one stole my horse. And I had to borrow one to get to (the) park. took Breakfast with Lieut. McCauly the train was about seven miles on the road before I overtook it got in park at twelve train did not get in until nearly six cook & Paul came down yesterday and this evening a plenty have gone up in the valley
