clear most of the day Started about seven oclock for the front. Overtook the train at charlestown then went ahead and i arrived at the Brigade three hours before the train. Went to the 3rd Regt N.J. Cavalry and saw father. Had dinner at Lieut. Brants. got through issuing about dusk The rain then started out ("and" crossed out) to goin park about two miles down the Summit Point and Berryville turnpike
