13th Monday

I went to the front today

with the supplies.found the

brigade about half a mile

to the left of Jarkstown (?). Going

from frederick to hagerstown

could see the rebel pickets
Our boys had thrown up

a line of earthworks, Lt ip about

twelve miles from the brigade to

the park. Did not get back

untill near 9 PM. Saw a lot

of rebel prisoners coming in

the roads are strewn with

dead horses passed through

boonesborough. Saw a lot of

wounded in the church there

is also a great lot in the --- along the road. It rained quite

hard and steady today. but

i did not get very wet
