17th, Thursday.
Clear and very pleasant today. Issued two days rations.At night went to the
Quartermaster Layne got back today. Supply train went to the station.
18th, Friday.
Clear and pleasant. The wind was blowing hard but it is not cold. About
four oclook in the afternoon orders carne to move at a moments notice. Issued
one days rations and about seven oclock the orders were countermanded. General
Torbert got back today.
