March 15, Tuesday.
Clear and very pleasant in the morning. About noon it commenced snowing
and continued for about an hour. It snowed very hard but was all gone in an hour
afterwards. Inspection of the wagon train today . Supply tra~n went to the station
and got one days soft bread.
16th, Wensday.
Clear and pleasant today. Issued three days potatoes and one days soft bread.
Bought a pound of tobacco. There was a cock fight here today for twenty five
dollars a side. One was from the 1st Regt. and the other was from corps headquarters.
The one from the first regt. was whipped. Received a letter from and answered
at night.
