Jan. 21st, Thursday.
Clear and pleasant today. Did not issue anything. Did not have much
to do. Captain Aaronson arrived today with express boxes. There was a lot
of recruits for the 15th Regiment came today. Some of them from Newton.
22nd, Friday.
Clear and very pleasant. Issued bread and vegetables. Received a letter
from home stating that father had enlisted in the 1st N.J. • Wrote a
letter to mother.
