26th Tuesday
was in washington all
day waiting for mooore (sic)
wagons. but did not get
any- Sent a diary and
forty dollars to mother
by Adams express.
the corps moved about
eleven A.M. the train
about four. I left the
city with about a dozen
officers at half past six
a.m. passed through
Tennallytown and
Rockville (both in Md.). Aboard the
train and three miles
from the latter place on
the frederick city road
a good many of our wagon
have upset and lost a
lot of stores
