Dec. 17th, Thursday. Cloudy and considerable rain today. Just after dark it rained very hard. Supply train went to the station. Wagons went to the station after Capt. Aaronson but the train that he was to come on ran off the track at Briscoe Station. So the wagons came back empty. Issued two days rations. Wrote a letter to mother.
18th, Friday. Clear but cold today. Supply taain did not go out today. All communication is cut off from Washington. The guerrilas have be£ned two or three of the bridges. All of the Corps commanders met at Gen. Meade's today to determine wether to move or not. They are trying to reenlist the troops.
