2nd Monday Clear and Pleasant today Issued two days rations went to the station after stores but did not get any. They did not get up. Just after I had left the depot which was near sun- down and one of the second Corps wagons was crossing the rail road it was run inro by the locative and the wagon all broken to pieces. there was a corporal in the wagon as a guard and he was killed instantly his head arm and leg was cut off and his internals strewn along tile track
