Oct 20th Tuesday Clear and pleasant all day got ready and started about 9 A.M. Crossed Bull run soon after three home for the bridge to be repaired. It was thought that we would park soon after crossing but did not. was order- ed to move to gainesville. the roads were very bad. Crossed the railroad and parked at gainesville. there was ____ __ hope but no commissary stroes Expect them tomorrow the supply train is ordered to go to the front at day light in the morning. do not know where out troops are but it is said that they tare at new baltimore passed through groveton today
