eight PM. During the afternoon the brigade came past us there was troops passing all the afternoon I think that there must be near two thousand wagons on the arne field with us. to look at these and the troops passing in the most splendid sight that i ever saw the weather is very pleasant I drew a bouse today along the foot of the mountain toward warrenton a great cloud of dust could be seen. It was supposed to be made by rebel cavalry and artillery. a skirmish line and a line of battle was formed and went in the woods in that direction. After we got started we crossed uucedar run two or three times we crossed it near the big mill where we did the first time that we came through here.
