June 18 Sunday
Clear and very hot Col Cooke of the 2nd NY Cav. and his Brother Oliver were here today. Went to the regiment in the evening and attended meeting. The officers are very busy making out the muster out rolls[.] it is likely they will be done tomorrow and we will get off Thursday[.] Chaplain Haines delivered his farewell address to the regiment. His text was Romans 10th Chapter 1st verse Brethren. My hearts desire and prayer to God for Isreal is that they might be saved
