June 7 Wednesday
Clear and very pleasant[.) Great preparations are being made for the grand review of this corps tomorrow. Have been busy today making out last months papers.
June 8 Thursday
Clear and very hot[.] very lonesome in camp today as every body has gone on t he review. The troops returned to camp about two o'clock. No regiment came in with more than twenty or thirty men and the colors. A man in company K of our Regiment shot himself today[.] Received a letter from home
