April 22 Saturday
Clear and very warm Issued two days rations built an arbour in front of my tent. Rumors of a move soon in the evening went to the _ _ and 1st Brig __ 2 ___ saw Lieut Thea Woodruff .
April 23 Sunday
Clear but windy. The dust flies so that one can hardly see. About two o'clock this morning orders carne to move at five a.m. The Headquarter wagons were loaded and pulled out before my wagon carne up. When we got to the Junction Had to stop and put on a barrel of ham(?]. It is said that we are going to Danville . We are following the Danville & Richmond Railroad camped at Keysville the roads are very good.
