March 26 Sunday
Clear and pleasant no firing to day of any account orders to unload our wagons but will not do it until tomorrow.
March 27 Monday
Clear and very pleasant went to City Point on the 10,10 train from Parke Station and returned on the 3 o'clock train went after commissary property our wagons was unloaded today ( 10 o'clock at night) order just came in to be ready to move at short notice . The troops are to be under arms at four in the morning . It is said that the rebels are massing in front of our brigade.
