June 20th Saturday
rained very hard during last night. cloudy but no rain today officers sales brisk. Issued one days rations of Pork H Bread Coffee Sugar Supply train went to the Station (Fairfax) after supplies and thy brought every box of hard bread that there was there. there was no hams there. General Torbert came back today the brigade was drawn up in line and then the colonal commanding [illegible] turning to the General said the first NJ Brigade welcome their general back. Then three loud cheers was given. about dark there was between thirty and forty prisoners passed here.
