19th Friday
Rained some during last night. Cloudy but no rain today. About three PM orders came to pack up in a great hurry got all ready but did not get off. Hooker has issued an order forbidding any mess wagons. no camp stoves or bedsteads are allowed. All officers baggage is greatly reduced It is also ordered that all detailed men have to carry their Knapsacks. They can issued as many orders of their kind as they please but where the men are along with the wagons they will not carry their Knapsacks There is [illegible] a way to get them carried Issued fresh meat and one days coffee sugar and H Bread The captains mess wagon is cut to peices [sic] and will be burnt
