Aug. 9th Sunday Extremely hot today. Issued one days rations in the morn got a pass and went down town. There was meeting in the episcopal church there was a good many ladies out. Wrote a long letter to mother. We are parked on Mr. Premough's place, near his house we get all our milk and vegetables from him. lOth Monday Very clear and warm had a green corn and beans and rice pudding for dinner Issued one days rations the third regt sutler got in today
