30th Thursday Cloudy with light rain today very dull around park Issued one day rations. Ben H. Ross of our Company who was wounded at Chancellorsville just returned tonight
31st Friday Clear and warm today. Issued one day rations. about six p.m. the brigade got orders to move got all ready and the order was countermanded expect to move in the morning. It is said that we are to go back to Warrenton (about one mile) to guard the line of communication to Washington received a letter from Uncle Sam. Not my great uncle United States Same but the other one.
