July 28th Tuesday Clear in the morning but had hard shower in the afternoon and evening Issued one day rations Gen. Wright ordered whiskey to be issued. Sent after it but could not get any at the depot Clothing was issued today I drew a pair of shoes and two pairs of drawers
29th Wens day Dull and cloudy supply train went to station and brought whiskey Beans tea sugar and coffee. Issued full ration of whiskey. Issued one days rations. An order was issued today requiring all extra detailed men to return to their regts the order fixes the number of men allowed in each Dept. The Com Dept is allowed only four men. There is five in it now.
