July 24th Friday We have a splendid place for a park. and if in rumored that we are to stay here some time to guard the railroad. I've see every train that comes in at one time today there was five different trains here supplies come in very fast. We got all that we could carry. At five P.H. we started to go to the Brigade tc issue when orders came to move immediately the brigade lays about 3/4 of a mile to the right of the town got all ready to start but did not get-off until nearly 12 o'clock crossed the Manassas Gap rail road three times. Traveled all night. very bad roads about six in the morning we got to new baltimore fed the teams there. had breakfast
