15th Wensday Started about daylight this morn- ing. passed through hagerstown. When we got about a half mile out of the town we heard that our train was coming up so we waited there untill noon. w'hen the troops and headquarter teams commenced going back to the old park about four PM. passed our division on the road. they camped at boonsborough. Met the captain and Hiller going out with supplies. Ordered to move at three in the morning. It is said that we are going t:o cross the potomac again at berlin. There is artillery and wagon trains going back now. the road has been full since dark
