May 31st Sunday
No Business done today. After washing and putting on clean clothes I saddled the mule (Jenny) and lewis took the [illegible] horse (Tom) and we went to the Sixth Corps hospital It is about six miles from here and the wind blew very hard and the dust flew so thick that we could not see the most of the time. The hospital is situated on the opposite side of the potomac creek and near the large railroad ridge and station. In due time and after a very dusty ride we arrived there and found most of the boys a getting along very well. Especially those from Co I and all from the fifteenth. John Space seems to
