July 3d Friday This morning Parliament and I went downtown and bouaht 0 some bread and potatoes. the bread costs from thirty-eight to fifty cents a loaf and the potatoes a dollar a bush I went to the park and got a horse to carry the things on. This is a very nice town and the most of the people are true blue the streets are full of teams going each way. There was a great many drunken soldiers in the street they are disorderly and insulting to the woman. In the afternoon the supply train was ordered to the front with three days rations Lieut Bradford and Miller went out with it. About 4 pm the rest of the supply train with all the stores that we had was ordered to army headquarters. they go in charge of Capt. Fith and Johnny.
