May 10th Sunday
Very hot today Issued one days rations of potatoes The supply train went to Falmouth today and brought flour for the bakery Sold at officers sales today the regiments do not lay far the [sic] did before the [illegible] but are all to the right of the head quarters
11th Monday
Very warm today Issued five days rations today. Issued fresh bread that came from falmouth. Was very busy all day my furlough was approved here and sent to division Headquarters today There is a detail working on the ovens getting them ready for use
