Heavy showers in the morning but it did rain much in the afternoon. About eight AM i started on the [illegible] mule and rode to the park. the road was full of artillery and ammunition trains. Met Lieut Bradford and quartermaster Crane going out with a train. It rained very hard when i was coming in and i got as wet as a drowned rat having nothing over me but my blouse.
