April 3rd Friday
It is a splendid day today it is clear and warm Wm Miller and Bob McCloud start home on furlough often days There was a Grand division review in front of these headquarter today by Major General Brook and Hooker Gens. Sickles and Bartlett was also present. Col Brown was in command of this Brigade There was three brigades and three batteries. It was indeed a most splendid sight There was several woman [sic] present – some on horse back and others in wagon Mrs. Gen. Hooker was present in a light covered wagon had roast beef mashed potatoes and plum pudding for dinner today
