13th Friday
Clear but very cold and there is a very high wind today. In my box that i had from home was some dried peaches and today i got the baker to bake me some peach fries. the[sic] was very good
14th Saturday
Clear and not very cold the Supply train went to the landing today. they brought flour potatoes pork and hard tacks at night I went over to the regiment. it is nearly a mile from headquarters Gen Torbert was confirmed and assigned to their brigade the news came this afternoon
