Feb 20th Friday
The weather is very nice and clear today. I do not feel well. Today I have a heavy cold on my lungs. Reseived [sic] love valentines today from newton.
21st Saturday
The Brigade train went to the landing today and brought flour and a day issue of potatoes also a day issue of fresh bread. The mud is very deep. About 9 A[?]M it commenced to snow. My cold is no better today.
