Jan 5th Monday
This morning Joe thought that we would have to go out to where the company had gone but was told by Lieut Vanvoy to stay and guard the camp and draw the rations for the company. I went over to the brigade Commissary and helped to get the rations there and then came back to camp and helped to deal out the rations there. at night some of the boys came in from the company after rations they said that they was all out. they said that the picket line where they were was about two miles out they said that they was having fine times
