Dec 29th Monday
Nothing new in camp to day drilled one hour this morning I had the diarroeha [sic] today very bad
30th Tuesday
I felt better today than I did yesterday drilled one hour in the morning. In the afternoon James Kelly and myself went about two miles from camp and traded our salt meat for corn meal. We traded with an old widow woman She had two sons in the rebel army. In the 30th Virginia. This morning our drum corps was all put in the Guard house for not fiving the sick call. they was let out about noon
