(10th Wednesday (continued)) Tolbert [sic]. Then three for Col Fowler. Then three for Col. Campbell. Then three for Major Brown. then we formed in line again and was marched by companies to our quarters. The fourth regiment also received their colors today being a state flag the same as ours. they formed a hollow square and Col. Hatch made a short speech and then a prayer was offered by their chaplain they gave three cheers for their colors. Three for the state of New Jersey. Three for the Govenor [sic]. Three for General Tolberts [sic]. Three for Col. Hatch and three for themselves. The weather was very nice and warm all day I wrote a letter for Ell Smith It was noticed by all that the
