June 15th Wensday
Was ready to move at twelve(?} last night did not get ____ until six this morning. Saw some ____ ____ here. They are the first that I ever saw. Went to Charlescity(?) ____ and turned to the left. Found our corps about a mile and a half from the courthouse. Issued three days ration and a very heavy sales(?) today. Was ____ and taken to Leut. Russell and then sent back to the wagon. After issuing we crossed the James River on a very long ponton bridge. The river is full of ____ ____ at dark. Found the next of our train about a mile up the river. Am very tired.
