1st Wensday [sic]
Left Newton at six oclock
this morning. Came down
to Madison Stopped the
night my uncle Sam's
Went out to bed at
Mr. Gray went back
to the depot at seven o clock
took the train
down to
room all night. There
is not a bed to be had
Slept in a chair
