Cloudy and dull
no news very tedious
in camp.
got a pass to go the city
point for teu days
saw Capt. Fith (?). Brought
me paper from J. Coult (?)
18th Saturday
went to city point on
the one o clock train did
not leave there until Eleven
and arrived in camp at
1/2 past twelve. Am
going to to leave Emerson
and go work with Capt Fith
Had my whiskers dyed
at city point
