June 8th Wensday
Clear and very warm today. Nothing issued. Sent a supply train to the white house. Very ___ ____ to John H Silvene(?). Heavy cannonading about dusk.
9th Thursday
Clear and very warm. About noon sent two days issue of ____ and a ____ wagon to the front. About a half hour they started sent two days light rations out. About two oclock I started for the white house after____. Got there about four oclock about the time I got there it showered quite heavily. Could not load the wagon tonight so we went in park near the landing.
