3rd Friday
Cloudy and very light showers in the morning but clear in the afternoon. Sent three empty wagons to the ____ hospital to be loaded with wounded men. Started with the ____ about eight oclock and reached the park where the rest of the ____ at twelve. Our men charged all alone the whole line this morning but failed to drive the rebels out of their entrenchment. Sent a train to the white house after supplies. Sergt. _____ went with it to draw the ____. It is very dull and dreary in ____.
