June 2nd Thursday
Order to move at ten oclock. Got started and went towards the white house or bottoms Bridge. After we had got on the road about three miles we was ordered to take two days rations to the front. Went back to the old church tavern and _____ to the left. The fifth corps train cut us out of the road and we had to wait until dark before we got started again. _____ our troops near Coal Harbor. _____ about twelve oclock at night. Issued(?) near when Col ____ was wounded. My company has lost 9 wounded and two killed. Parked near the _____ _____ at five oclock in the morning. Very warm in the morning and had a heavy shower in the afternoon. Made the roads muddy.
