June 1st Wednesday
Order to move at day light but after we got all ready the order was countermanded. The train started after supplies today. The second Regt. went along for a guard. About ten oclock we was ordered to be ready to move at 11 oclock. Our corps(?) is at ____ Harbor suppose we are going there. Got started at _____ oclock. Passed through a very fine country today. The houses are built much better here and the land is worked better. Parked on the Mechanics road near the ____ church. I think about ten miles from Mechanicsville.
