May 25th Wensday
Clear and warm most of the day. Heavy showers in the afternoon. Laid in park all day. Very dull. SOme cannonading. Saw about one hundred and twenty rebel prisoners go past today.We have to turn in fourteen wagons. A lot of our men that was taken prisoner and decaptured(?) at Beaver Dam station by our cavalry went to the front today. Rilton and Fenner of my company are among them.
