24th Tuesday
Clear and very warm and dusty today. Saw the others today. We came to Milford Station last night. Moved as six today. Camped about five miles from Milford. Sent some wagons to Front Royal for supplies. Very nice showers in the evening. Heard some heavy cannonading today. It is said that the fifth corps is ____ the fourth anna river. The rest of the army are to ____ tonight. Killed and issued a beef today. Plenty of foraging in this country. Poultry, sheep, and hogs.
