most of the day
Started at day light
but did not get more
than three miles on the
road by noon as the train
was detained loading
contrabands and Refugees
the whole Army train
is loaded with them
passed through New
Market and parked
soon after.
Had supper in the
town. No one was
allowed to go ahead
of the train
